OUR NATIONAL OBJECTIVES

As the recognized national federation for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Canada, the Sport Jiu-Jitsu Canada Federation (SJJCANF) proudly supports the Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (SJJIF) in its mission to secure International Olympic Committee (IOC) recognition and the eventual inclusion of Jiu-Jitsu in the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Deaflympics, and all other Games of the Olympic cycle. We are committed to uniting, organizing, and governing the sport effectively within Canada while contributing to global efforts to elevate Jiu-Jitsu to the Olympic stage.

In line with this mission, SJJCANF fully embraces the core values and fundamental principles outlined in the Olympic Charter, Paralympic Charter, and Deaflympic Charter. These principles guide our actions and inspire our commitment to the development of the sport nationwide.

  • Promote the educational, scientific, charitable, and cultural dimensions of Jiu-Jitsu to enrich connections amongst communities across Canada; and

  • Pursue additional initiatives aligned with these objectives that serve the growth and recognition of Jiu-Jitsu on both a national and international scale.
